4/26/2009 我们的花样年华Our Flower Time
久未小聚的女孩们在策划着一次野餐，在春末夏初的时候的一次出发。 Since we didn't see each other for a long time, we planned a picnic in this season---late spring & early summer.
一大早的起来，刚吃完早餐，就接到YY的短讯，我已经到了！看看时间，离约定的八点半还有足足半个多钟！八点四十五，顺利在汽车站碰头，然后就搭上了这周新开的直达百万葵园的汽车。 Early in the morning, when I just finished my breakfast, I got a text message from YY. She told me that she was there~ Well, it was still half an hour earlier than the time we planned to meet! At 8:45 am, all of us arrived the bus station, then we got on the bus to "Million Sunflower" subject park.
时光一下弹回，我们依然是当年那帮嘻嘻哈哈，喜欢傻傻的快乐，也愿意偶尔臭美一下，再添加点小零食和小八卦的女生。 Time
seems to turn back in that moment: we were still those happy girls who
love laughing, enjoy being pretty, and sometimes we need a little bit
of snack and gossip.
这个季节，就跟那些醉蝶花、薰衣草、向日葵、大波斯菊、大花金鸡菊都开得无比摇曳。可是，这都比不过花丛中那灿烂的笑容。时间的流逝让我们得到了各种各样的生活经历，时间的流淌却没有让我们失去青春的热力。 In
this season, lots of flowers are just marvelous...like Cleome,
Lavender, Sunflower, Cosmos and Coreopsis auriculata. "Nana" are
blooming... But all these flowers cannot beat the shining smile in our
face...The passed time helped us to gain life experience, but it didn't
take our youth away.
谢谢YY的爱心三明治，松软的鸡蛋和新鲜的番茄让每一口都充满了幸福的味道；阿Yan的百醇饼干让我们一个半钟的车程多了许多甜美的感觉；还有Cloud的五彩百搭果鲜杂果甘粟西米以及圣安娜咖啡蛋糕更是让我们的野餐多了绚烂的心情~ Thank you YY for the homemade sandwiches; the eggs and fresh tomatoes are so delicious, you even can feel the happiness from every bite of the sandwiches. Thank you Yan for the Pejoy cream filled biscuit; it adds lots of fun on our way to the park. Thank you Cloud for the wonderful fresh fruit mix and coffee cake; it is gorgeous for our picnic~
谢谢大家一起制造的如此美好的一天，我喜欢用我的相机，纪录那瞬间的美丽记忆和我们的花样年华。
多年以后，相信我们不会忘记那天的招摇的花朵，喃喃的细语，如花的笑靥，爽朗的笑声，还有阴沉的天气和晴朗的心情…… PS，去百万葵园的贴士：
1.越秀南车站有直达车，8点最早一班慢车￥20，9点直达快车（全程高速，中间只停烈士陵园站）￥25。下午4点一班慢车，5点末班车为快车。
2.百万葵园的门票目前￥85，但是用车站车票可以打折。不过去广之旅预定只有￥50。
3.中大去越秀南车站有80和264路，在越秀南路站下车，过了马路就是汽车站了。 4/11/2009 A Ph.D Candidate and his book一个博士生和他的书很早就想用广角拍拍环境人像了，刚好SY兄的宿舍实在很有特色，于是就想以他和他的书为主题拍一辑人像。构图在拍摄之前就考虑过了，后期转的黑白，目的是想突出重点。效果如何大家自己看吧……
Well, I thought of taking a series of portrait pictures for a long time. And I happened to see that Mr. Ruan's dorm is really interesting. So I thought about taking some pictures for him and his book. Before I took these pictures, I thought about how to frame the picture, and I made those pictures become black and white afterwards because I want to make sure the subject was highlighted. You can see how it looks like now...

 4/10/2009 Farewell再见A few weeks ago, when I discussed the nonviolence topic with Yh, I was thinking about writing something. But before I wrote my opinion about nonviolence, I noticed there were several violent incidents happened around the world.
前几个星期跟Yh师兄在聊非暴力，迟迟没有把感想写出来，就发生了好几件枪击事件。 The ceremony for three police killed on April 4 was held on April 9. Sometimes, those pictures from news reporters even not as good as those pictures from a normal person. It brought you to sympathize. Coopie posted some pictures she took near the campus: the Cathedral of Learning looked beautiful in the picture, flowers were blooming in the spring, and the sky was still very blue. However, in such a beautiful early spring season, the flag in front of an apartment was half-mast; the lamp tied with black ribbon; so many police cars parked straight along the Fifth Ave in Oakland, the line seems endless; there were so many flags appeared near the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial; and there was a sticker called "faith and honor" in one car. Besides these, there were many cops who came from different states and wore different uniforms who stood on both side of the streets, waiting for hearses to come; of course, you can see many people gathering here with sadness.
4月4日匹兹堡3位殉职的警察的告别仪式于9号举行。新闻报道拍摄的图片有时候甚至不如一个普通人所看到的景色那么令人产生共鸣。在facebook上看到Coopie在学校附近拍的照片，Cathedral of Learninng还是那么雄伟，玉兰花也开得那么灿烂，天空还是那么湛蓝。然后就在这样一个早春的美好季节里，公寓前的国旗下了半旗；灯柱上绑着黑色的绸带；奥克兰的第五大道上整整齐齐的停满了一辆辆的警车，一眼望不到边际；士兵纪念馆也插满了美国国旗；贴上了“信仰和荣誉”的车；来自不同州穿着不同警服的警察在街道两边列队等待灵车的经过；当然还有自动集合过来的民众，带着一脸沉重。
Therefore, no matter how you talk about nonviolence, first of all, you need to assume that human beings have the ability of self-reflect on morality. Once human being do not have this ability, then it is nonsense to talk about nonviolence. Gandhi said morality can separate human being and animals. But I don't know where those morals were when those guys fired at the victims. If we lean on the final recourse about improvement of morality and ignore the operation in reality, do we try to build another utopia about moral idealism? 所以再怎么谈非暴力，你首先的假定就是人需要有自我的道德反思能力，一旦一个人没有这个能力，非暴力就不可行。甘地预设人与兽的区别就在于拥有道德。但是不知道当那些把子弹射向受害者的人开枪的时候，他身上的道德又到哪里去了呢？又如果一切最终诉诸于道德伦理的提升，而摒弃现实操作，那么这是否又在建构道德理想主义的另外一个乌托邦呢？
Nevertheless, when we see people who gathered to wave goodbye to the cops; when we see the initiative of those who opposed violence; when we see underneath the police uniforms which present the power of national violence, there are still individuals who have family and friends, we may still have some reasons to believe that most people will still go forth in the road of peace. 但是当我们看到那些自动聚集的民众，看到那些反对暴力的倡议，看到作为国家暴力维持力量的警服之下，也是一个个有着家庭、朋友的个体的时候，我们或许还有一些理由去相信，大多数的人还是走在追求和平的道路上的。
PS：On Saturday, April 4, 2009, Officers Paul Sciullo II, Eric G. Kelly and Stephen J. Mayhle were killed responding to a domestic disturbance call in the Stanton Heights neighborhood of Pittsburgh. In the days that followed, the people of the City of Pittsburgh came together to pay their respects to these men. They came to know the three not just as police officers, but as individuals with families, friends and an inspiring sense of duty to their community. As the officers made their final journey, police from around the region, from around the country and from Canada formally saluted their fallen comrades as a city offered its own farewell with heartfelt thanks for their dedication.

附：2009年星期六，警官保罗，艾瑞克，史蒂芬为了，在匹兹堡市SH地区被杀害。事件发生后的几天内，匹兹堡市的市民聚集到一起对这几位被杀害的警官表以敬意。他们知道这三个人不仅仅是警察，而且是一个有着家庭、朋友和对社会尽有责任感的个人。在这些警官最后的旅程里，来自周边地区、全国各地甚至见加拿大的警察们为他们倒下的同志给予崇高的致敬，并作为这个城市为他们的贡献做出衷心感谢的告别。
